Finally got around to getting the road photos back up… via flickr.
Two ways to get to them - road photos or the individual MA roads pages. (I won’t bother listing all the individual roadp ages - there’s about 30 or so and to be honest, I’m lazy like that.)
I’ve just finished updating the Mass Routes pages to include all the multiplexed and cosigned routes in the Commonwealth.
There is only one section of road in the state that carries 5 route numbers. Can you find it?
The move of the Mass Routes pages to the wiki is done. The findroute page has been updated to point to it as well, so all external links that used that page should be pointing to the new wiki-based pages as well.
I’ll leave the old pages up for a little while to see if anyone is still using them, but they won’t be up for long.
You can also see I’m experimenting with different themes for the blog section; the green was interesting but ultimately too busy. I’m a simple man who likes plain text. We’ll see where this takes me.
I’ve been working on a change for the Mass Roads section of the site. Basically, it was tedious to edit the pages via the database. So I’m moving them to a wiki to make it easier for me to edit. Right now I’ve got 120 of the almost 200 pages done.
The route search page still points to the old pages; once they’re all done I’ll point it to the new stuff.
The The Worcester Telegram & Gazette reports that MassHighway is looking to rework the intersection of I-290 and I-495 in Hudson.
I can’t imagine that it’s possible to make that interchange any worse; 290 is backed up heading onto 495 south many mornings, and 495 north occasionally.
I do like that the image they include is of the way the interchange is now, not what’s being planned. Not really all that helpful.
